Ok, I'm not much for documentation, and I'm not gonna spend
too much time with this, because it'll just be void when the
new version is released anyway.

This is a wcCODE app compiled with version 4.12 (hence the
412 in the version # of this product - DUH!). It allows
your callers to leave a one-liner to show off their wisdom
for the rest to see.

If you use this product, it is at your own risk. There are
no guarranties of any kind, except that it WiLL take up some
sorta space on your computers hard drive, floppy drive, or
whatever other storage media that you happen to be using. If
the program phuc's you or your system, it's not my responsi-
bility; you must have done something wrong, cuz it worx fine
on my system.

Ok, I understand that, it's in every stinkin' product I ever
see, get and/or use. How the heck do I install this thing
on my BBS?
Installation is simple. I'll point out the easiest way, and
you can make it complicated on your own. ;>
─┼─── ──
│If you want to run this from a menu (maybe the Main Menu!?!)
Anyway, just unarchive this file into it's own directory (it
can be in your Wildcat's "home" directory if you like messy
directories :P - I have mine located in "C:\WILDCAT\MAGIC\"
with all my other junk). Where ever it's home ends up being,
run MAKEMENU and add it as an available menu option.
This progy is also able to just VIEW the wall if you want to.
This allows you to run it as a LOGON program, and allow the
users to go back and view the wall as an option without
letting them write more oneliners. Just add "V" after the
program name (i.e. C:\WILDCAT\MAGIC\MB-WALL.WCX V).
─┼─── ──
│If you want to run this as a LOGON program (i.e. LOGON1.WCX
or LOGON2.WCX), there are a couple different options.
1) download and use my LOGON#.WCX program, it's really
kewl, and is VERY flexible. Unlimited possibilities
even though it was designed as a LOGON1 or LOGON2
replacement.
2) rename MB-WALL.WCX to LOGON1.WCX or LOGON2.WCX (just
depends if you want it to run before or after hello
screens, mail check, blah blah blah has been done)
and put all the files in your Wildcat's "home" dir.

MB-WALL.DOC - this file (DUH! again)
MB-WALL.BAD - Bad Words Filter
+ MB-HDR.BBS - Screen displayed BEFORE OneLiners
*+ MB-FTR.BBS - Screen displayed AFTER OneLiners
+ MB-CLR.BBS - Color Selection Screen
! SCREENS.ZIP - Color variations of the above screens
FILE_ID.DIZ - DUH! (can b deleted - y m i telling u dis?)
DESC.SDI - see description for FILE_ID.DIZ
Optional Files for a slight configuration:
MB-WALL.SEC - list of Security Profiles that have Access
to [A]dd OneLiner (described later)
Files that will be generated:
MB-WALL.DAT - OneLiner Data File
WHOSON.TMB - Created in your Wildcat "home" directory
[*] may not have been included in this archive.
[+] can also use the .RIP and .SCR extensions - must be
located in the same directory as this program.
[!] these sample screens have been setup to allow you to
choose a different color to fit your BBS a little
better. each numbered screen is coordinated with its
companion, so to use a RED screen, simply type:
copy MB-???04.BBS MB-???.BBS

┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
As limited as it may be in this version, there ARE several
things you can do.
■ MB-WALL.BAD can be edited to add the words that you may
want to restrict your callers from using - I wouldn't
recommend removing the @ codes from it tho, it will
totally mess up the centering function when the lines
are displayed.
■ MB-*.BBS files can all be altered to allow a different
look. Ok, this is kewl. If/when you create your own
MB-HDR.BBS file, use 3 color codes to setup the wall.
The VERY FiRST color code is the default color and the
prompts will adapt to this color! The SECOND color is
actually a code telling the MAGiC WALL where to begin
displaying the 1st line! The THiRD color tells the
program how many lines to display!!! I've now supplied
8 sample walls (all the same basic screen with the
exception of 1, but each are a different color). To do
this, use EDIT or other text editor and add or change
the values on the 1st line.
MB-CLR.BBS files now support positioning of the line
when the color is selected via the FiRST color code in
the file. If set to 0 or is not present, it defaults to
line 15.
■ MB-WALL.SEC can be used to restrict any security level
that you don't want to be able to write on the wall.
This file is a list of security levels that CAN use the
wall, not the other way around. If you don't want your
NEWUSERs (for example) not to be able to clutter up the
wall until they've been upgraded, you'd list every
security level BUT "NEWUSER" (well, every one that you
wanted anyway). If the file doesn't exist, everyone
will have access. If it works right, you won't need to
specify the SYSOP security level, it should be able to
determine that automatically.
A new feature with this release, is that if you defined
"Security Level for DOOR.SYS" in the security profiles,
you can now specify the minimum number to gain access to
writing to the wall. (i.e. if you set NEWUSER at 10,
a DiSTRO user at 5, and FULL USERS at 100, then you can
specify 100 to block out the NEWUSER and DiSTRO access;
or 10 to only block DiSTRO users).
